About The Artist

Hello! My names is Angela. I am Colorado born and raised artist. I am a self taught artist who began developing my interest in art at an early age. I expressed my first serious interest in art when I was 8 years old sitting outside with my grandma drawing pictures of the beautiful garden she had in her yard. I spent my whole youth years drawing fantasy landscapes, religious saints, cartoon characters, stickers that I would get from the 25 cents machines, animals, objects, florals, landscapes, underwater scenes, seascapes, city scapes, to drawing my siblings. I fell very deeply in love with creating and it has always been a huge part of my life. I started selling all my drawings in school because I had a dream in fulfilling my dream of being an artist. As a teenager an opportunity opened for me so I went on to study art and design at (DSA) Denver School Of The Arts. I started taking my work very seriously to creating artwork and practicing my craft for a year. When it was time for college I decided to go down a self guided artistic path as I quickly realized art school was not the place for me. The biggest thing I learned in art school is that you are your own biggest teacher when it comes to developing your work so that is exactly what I set out to do on my own. For the most part I feel like I was born with an innate sense of beauty and an otherworldly knowledge of techniques and methods, as if taught by supernatural beings. I am a strictly a self-taught and my talents have always surprised everybody since early childhood. Nobody could explain how I possessed these mystical gifts. My knowledge of both human and animal anatomy comes as a puzzle even to myself, as I was never taught any of this. I am fully self employed and following my dreams. I now currently work as a full time artist and entrepreneur. I am currently living in Colorado as of right now and there are a lot of beautiful outdoors for me to explore here. My artwork world is a blend of the real and the imaginary, magnificent magical realism and landscapes of unparalleled beauty and harmony. I gain a lot of inspiration for my work from nature. I get very excited over seeing beautiful landscapes and greenery. I absolutely love all plants and animals and that is why most of my work revolves around them. I still remember the struggle when I was working on my first portrait. But some persistence, handwork, practice and passion has helped me along the way. Practice is the key! As an artist, I always felt the journey is the reward. While it hasn't always been easy, it's always been deeply gratifying and I hope that I can be an inspiration to others to seek out their purpose through their passion. I work full time as an artist and spend everyday living my dream in the studio at home with a cup of tea, my birds and paints where I can sit in peace and quiet and paint, where my soul can be still. My aim is to produce positive and inspirational paintings for people to enjoy. I consider it a great blessing to be able to share my talents with the world. My paintings have a deeper purpose. it is meant to uplift the spirit, heal, restore, reinvigorate and promise new beginnings that bring peace and joy to our daily life... And my favorite thing about being an artist is hearing how other people see and feel when experiencing my work.

I am not sure where this whole art thing will take me,

but I am very grateful that you are here experiencing it with me!

Thank You For Your Interest
